Beginners mistake: I’ve upgraded my theme without saving my settings… I’ll redo that later (I mean customization, not upgrading without saving… who know, never say never)…No tags for this post.
In a previous; post we covered the installation of satellite in LAN. It is usefull if you have to monitor machines from distant sites. Generaly these sites are accessible with your local network or through a VPN but sometimes, the site is far away and is only accessible via internet connection. In most case, it’s located behind a firewall.
We will try to describe how we could set a secured connexion between distant satellite and our central monitoring server using SSH connection.
It will looks like something like that:

Merethis has released Centreon 2.1.9
The update is very simple:
cd /usr/local/src sudo wget http://download.centreon.com/index.php?id=143 sudo tar -xzf centreon-2.1.9.tar.gz cd centreon-2.1.9 sudo ./install.sh -u /etc/centreon
After accepting the license, simply answer yes to all the questions you’ll see.
When finished, connect to the web interface and follow the “NEXT, NEXT, NEXT” steps.
Since july, the new version of Nagios plugins is available. We’ll update/install it.

This post will cover the update process of Centreon Syslog module from version 1.2.1 to version 1.3.2
This update is composed of two parts. The syslog-server (which is updated from version 1.1 to 1.2) and syslog-frontend (which is updated from version 1.2.1 to 1.3.2)
Both are available from Centreon Forge (you have to be registered to get an access):
After getting the frontend and server files, transfer them on your server with WinSCP or any other tools you like.
